Benjamin J. Koenig is a poet, flash-fiction writer, and political commentator. His living influences are John Green, Noam Chomsky, and Suji Kwock Kim — some of his giants would be Isaac Asimov (for his wit), Nadezhda Krupskaya (for her strength); he is convinced that Thucydides was a philosopher.
During the pandemic, he studied bioinformatics at Harvard University; his writing often reflects on the past in an effort to reveal the future. His most recent works include 'Aromaborealis (2020)' and 'Mishigami (2022)', and his political writing can be found in 'Dialogue & Discourse'.
For further reading in poetry: 'Montage with Neon, Bok Choi, Gasoline, Lovers & Strangers', by Suji Kwock Kim, 'The Darkling Thrush', by Thomas Hardy, 'The Second Coming', by William Butler Yeats, 'The New Colossus', by Emma Lazarus, and 'Barter', by Sara Teasdale.
