Maybe it's naïve, but I think when things are as bad as they are, it's a reason to look forward to when it's over — how gratifying will it be when ancient activities like movie-going, shopping, lapdancing, and baseball games will be safe again? Of course, there's the jabberwocky in the back of my head, saying "it's all downhill from here", and that I'll be shooting buckshot over a dumpster while boiling campfire eggs in an urban wasteland in two years. I'm just of the mind that at some point, when you've fallen, you eventually hit the ground. I'd (really) like to think we'll be able to walk it off.
